They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Commissioning discipline. The Senior Commissioning Engineer solves complex problems and uses their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. They impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Commissioning team and other related teams and ensure that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies.</p></div>

<br><div><p><b>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
</b></p><ul><li>Report to the Commissioning Manager and provide support to the Principal Commissioning Engineer in the preparation of home office deliverables
</li><li>At the site, the Senior Commissioning Engineer will participate in walk-down inspections, punch listing, and testing including troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical &amp; instrument component issues that can arise on the project
</li><li>Work collaboration within the Project team and with the Client to maintain positive relationships
</li><li>Required to support the commissioning team with performing any of the following activities as a minimum
<ul><li>Operate and maintain Manuals development
</li><li>Commissioning and Start-up Spares development
</li><li>First Fills and Consumables development
</li><li>Commissioning, and Start-Up Procedures
</li><li>Discipline Equipment system checks and tests
</li><li>Function testing of mechanical, electrical, and instrument systems
</li><li>Participate in Commissioning, Start-Up and Performance Testing
</li><li>Resolve operational and maintenance issues during Commissioning, Start-Up, and Performance Tests
</li></ul></li><li>Supervise craft personnel required for site pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
</li><li>Coordinate activities with other engineers in the commissioning team

<br><div><p><b>Essential Qualifications and Education:
</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent in Engineering
</li><li>8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant
</li><li>Requires a good understanding of concepts, principles, and practices in commissioning, completions, and training as well as basic knowledge of other functions, such as construction and operations &amp; maintenance
</li><li>Applies understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness
</li><li>Preferably possess a degree or diploma or equivalent in engineering
</li><li>Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical, refinery, or oil &amp; gas processing facility
</li><li>Prefer 2+ years of previous commissioning and start-up experience in the chemical, refinery, or oil &amp; gas industry
</li><li>Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers
</li><li>Must have good computer software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
</li><li>Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to the needs of various discipline groups
</li><li>Must have the ability to assess and communicate project requirements and expectations in a clearly defined, positive, and productive manner
</li><li>Willing and able to travel to construction sites on assignments to international sites
</li><li>Proficiency in English, Multi-Language skills a plus
