About the role:</b></p>

The Product Designer on the Network Pillar will partner closely with a Senior Product Designer and collaborate with designers across other pillars, as well as product managers, engineers, and operational stakeholders, to design and ship tools that power how Oscar evaluates, manages, and configures its provider network. This role is central to improving operational workflows and decision-making, ensuring internal teams can efficiently assess network adequacy, performance, and provider relationships. The ideal candidate brings strong systems thinking, experience designing SaaS or internal tools, and the ability to work autonomously from discovery through delivery&mdash;balancing speed, clarity, and user empathy across complex technical domains.</p>

The Network Pillar is shaping a suite of new products that bring critical capabilities in-house, helping Oscar ensure its network of providers and services remains comprehensive, high-quality, and accessible to members nationwide. This designer will play a key role in shaping the tools that enable Oscar's teams to maintain and grow strong partnerships with providers, all while driving a consistent, scalable, and intuitive experience across the company's network management ecosystem.</p>

You will report into the Group Product Designer.</p>
<p><b>
Work Location: </b>This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid</p>

Pay Transparency: </b>The base pay for this role is: $131,200 - $172,200 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.</p><br>

Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Execute the design process with guidance on complex problems, considering long-term impact with near-term polish within a defined Oscar product area.
</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of the users, informing product strategy and solutions throughout the design process.
</li><li>Collaborate closely with other product designers, product managers, marketers, brand designers, engineers, researchers and others.</li>
<li>Follow hypothesis-driven research, prototyping and launching experiments that develop actionable insights.</li>
<li>Lead or contribute to workshops, vision activities or presentations as needed.</li>
<li>Exhibit strong craft and interaction design, maintaining a high quality bar for experiences and our design systems.</li>
<li>Translate the Oscar brand across product experiences.</li>
<li>Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Requirements:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>4+ years of experience in Product/UX Design.</li>
<li>2+ concrete examples of designing and shipping complex web and mobile interfaces.</li>
<li>2+ years managing stakeholders directly.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Bonus points:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with the healthcare space.</li>
<li>Storytelling techniques such as animated prototypes or user flow diagrams.
</li><li>Interest in design ethics, accessibility, and other topics relevant to the healthcare space.</li>
<li>Genuine and inquisitive, humble yet determined.</li>
<li>Evidence of design contributions across high-performing web, mobile, or internal tool products.</li>
<li>Proven record of navigating technical constraints to deliver design solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Support our Senior Product Designer in all lifestyle accessories, including home, hard goods, soft goods, jewelry and packaged styles.</li>
<li>Support in seasonal trim/packaging sourcing, research and concepting</li>
<li>Meticulously maintain seasonal trim and packaging libraries.</li>
<li>Create and maintain design renderings, orthographic drawings, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear communication for internal teams and overseas vendors.</li>
<li>Collaborate with product development teams and manufacturing partners to refine designs, ensuring quality, feasibility, and adherence to brand standards.</li>
<li>Conduct market and trend research to identify new product opportunities and stay informed of competitive offerings.</li>
<li>Develop and review 3D models and renderings (Rhino, KeyShot) to visualize design concepts and communicate intent effectively.</li>
<li>Support prototype development, including building mock-ups, reviewing samples, and providing feedback to vendors for design refinement.</li>
<li>Meticulously maintain seasonal trim and packaging libraries.</li>
<li>Support the design team with factory coordination of developments and in-stock trim needs in relation to the Design calendar.</li>

<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>

<li>3-5 years experience in product, lifestyle, or home design.</li>
<li>Degree in Design or equivalent experience required.</li>
<li>Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.</li>
<li>Proficiency in 3D model rendering, AI program experience a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a high-volume, rapidly changing environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.</li>
