As we prepare for the 2026 election cycle, Arena is building a Seasonal Copywriter Talent Pool for upcoming in-office opportunities at our Sugar House, Utah headquarters.

This is not a current job opening. Instead, this posting is an opportunity for experienced writers to connect with our team early and express interest in potential seasonal roles that are anticipated to open as we approach the peak of the 2026 election season. Professionals in our talent pool may be contacted as needs arise, particularly heading into the fall cycle.

The W-2 seasonal copywriter roles are temporary positions tied to the 2026 election cycle and are not permanent roles. These positions are hourly, and weekly hours may fluctuate based on campaign and production demand. Peak periods may require increased availability, including extended or late hours.

About the Role:

When active in cycle, seasonal copywriters support high-volume, fast-paced creative production, including:

• Writing persuasive, audience-focused copy for:
• Direct mail and print materials
• Digital ads and landing pages
• Email fundraising campaigns
• Text messaging (SMS/MMS) programs
• Website content
• Adapting messaging to align with campaign strategy, audience segments, and client goals
• Collaborating closely with designers, account teams, and strategists to ensure cohesive creative execution
• Producing high-quality work under tight deadlines, sometimes within hours
• Proofreading and editing for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to AP style and client guidelines
• Supporting extended hours during peak election periods, as needed

Election cycles move quickly, and our creative team is central to meeting increased design and production demands.

Required Qualifications (for future consideration)

• Minimum 2 years of professional copywriting experience in communications, marketing, journalism, political work, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong command of grammar and AP style
• Sharp proofreading skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
• Comfort working in deadline-driven, high-pressure environments
• Ability to write in multiple tones and brand voices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing for political campaigns, PACs, advocacy groups, or election-related initiatives
• Background in political communications or journalism
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)
• Strong interest in and knowledge of politics
