About Working at Wenke Greenhouses

Retail store team members should have a positive attitude, enjoy helping customers and be willing to do physical work. Plant knowledge is welcomed and appreciated but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. All jobs require a lot of walking, bending and lifting. Temperatures can be very warm or very cold.

Most positions available are seasonal. Jobs at the retail store generally start in April and go through June. Some people work 40 hours a week while others work only 15 hours a week. The minimum age is 16 years old. Everyone is required to work either Saturday or Sunday and many people work both days. Store hours are typically Mon – Sat 9am -7pm and Sundays 11-6. Work hours may begin before or end after these hours depending on the work that needs to be done. Mother’s Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend are mandatory for all retail employees.

The retail store will start serving customers at the beginning of March 30, 2026.
