Senior 3D Artist

Devsinc is seeking a highly skilled Senior 3D Artist to become a key member of our artistic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating exceptional 3D assets for our projects, ensuring they meet both artistic and technical standards. You will work closely with game designers and developers, bridging the gap between art and technology while delivering high-quality visuals that enhance the player's experience. Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of high-quality 3D models, textures, and assets, setting the standard for the art team
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior and intermediate 3D artists, reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback. Mentor and guide junior artists, providing feedback
  • Collaborate with the Art Director and other department leads to define and maintain the game's artistic vision and style guide
  • Optimize 3D assets for performance within the game engine, ensuring they meet technical requirements without compromising visual quality
  • Develop and improve art pipelines and workflows to increase team efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Animation, Game Design, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a 3D Artist in the gaming or animation industry
  • Advanced Artistic Skills: A superior eye for form, composition, color theory, and lighting
  • Leadership and Mentorship: The ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and effectively share knowledge
  • Problem-Solving: Strong creative and technical problem-solving skills to overcome complex production challenges
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex artistic and technical concepts
  • Adaptability: The ability to stay current with new tools, technologies, and industry trends
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of a wide range of 3D art skills and a track record of shipping games, preferably including at least one AAA title
  • Expertise in industry-standard 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush) and texturing software (e.g., Substance Painter)
  • Deep understanding of real-time rendering, PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows, and game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity
