Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our multi-branch restaurant business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient cash flow management. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to communicate financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations.

Ensure timely and accurate VAT return filings and adherence to tax requirements.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial postings are accurate.

Reconcile bank statements and other accounts regularly to ensure consistency.

Cash Flow & Payroll Management

Monitor cash flow to ensure the business meets its financial obligations.

Oversee payroll processing for all branches, ensuring compliance with WPS regulations and timely salary payments.

Supervise the processing of invoices, payments, and vendor transactions.

Financial Analysis & Strategy

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.

Monitor and report on the financial performance of each branch, providing actionable insights to management.

Collaborate with branch managers to implement financial policies and procedures.

Team Collaboration & Communication

Train and guide branch staff on financial best practices and compliance requirements.

Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders during financial reviews.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA/ACCA/CMA certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in F& B, hospitality, or retail.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).

Knowledge of UAE VAT laws, WPS, and payroll systems.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills to explain financial data to non-financial teams.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
