Senior Accountant

The Infinity Group is a contracting service provider for the construction industry based in London. We provide subcontractors’ payroll, removing the risk of IR35 and employment law-related issues.

Our service handles invoicing, receiving payments from construction companies or agencies, processing their payments, and deductions of CIS tax and Umbrella Service.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong technical skills in company accounts, compliance, and tax advisory who can support a full suite of client accounting services. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial reporting and statutory compliance while providing proactive tax planning and related advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

This role suits a senior, qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently engage with clients on complex accounting and tax issues.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and review bookkeeping, management accounts, and year-end financial statements in accordance with UK accounting standards.
  • Produce financial reporting including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate annual accounts preparation and statutory filings for Companies House and HMRC.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and supervise reconciliations.

Taxation Services

  • Lead tax planning and compliance for corporate clients, including advising on tax efficiency and reliefs.
  • Prepare and file corporation tax returns, CT600s, and supporting schedules.
  • Handle self-assessment tax returns for directors, sole traders, and individuals associated with client entities.
  • Support VAT services, including VAT return preparation, registration, and deregistration advice.

Additional Compliance & Advisory

  • Assist with audit support services, preparing documentation and liaising with auditors.
  • Complete CIS returns (CIS300) and handle subcontractor reporting where relevant.
  • Provide management accounting insights, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business performance decisions.

Team Leadership & Client Engagement

  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, explaining financial matters clearly and professionally.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Proven track record in preparing statutory accounts and supporting compliance filings.
  • Strong taxation knowledge
  • Experience in audit support, management accounts, and advisory.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in an accountancy practice or serving multiple clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
