Position Purpose
The Senior Accountant is a key player in the organization’s financial operations. This position ensures the integrity of the organization’s monthly close, provides technical accounting expertise, and supports the scale of the organization’s expanding footprint. In addition, the Senior Accountant prepares and analyzes financial statements and provides audit support. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

The Impact You'll Make
Monthly Close Management
- Lead significant portions of the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and within deadlines
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Audit Support
- Act as a point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for both routine and complex transactions
Process Optimization
- Identify and implement efficiencies within the accounting cycle to reduce “days to close” and improve data accuracy
Technical Accounting
- Research and apply accounting standards while staying up to date on any Accounting Standards Updates issues by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
Finance Team Synergy
- Partner closely with the Assistant Controller and the broader Finance team on special projects and process enhancements
The Experience You'll Need
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or are CPA-eligible and actively pursuing CPA license
- Solid understanding of financial statements and GAAP
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, listening, and presentation communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including lookups, pivots, and modeling
- Polished and professional demeanor
- Ability to commute to the centrally located Austin, Texas headquarters office four days per week
Preferred Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting or finance
- Big 4 public accounting experience
- High proficiency in Oracle or associate Oracle products, to include NetSuite and Fusion
Knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

- Ability to effectively communicate technical accounting information to non-technical audiences
