Senior Accountant

A. Objective

To independently manage and oversee key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with UAE regulations, and effective control of financial operations. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to perform accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision while supporting the organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency.

B. Roles and Responsibilities

1. Core Accounting Functions

  • Manage and oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and control inventory accounting, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Record accruals, provisions, and amortization entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and review the Trial Balance and perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

2. Operational & Specialized Accounting

  • Manage Job Card accounting processes and ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Process payroll and WPS in compliance with UAE labor regulations.
  • Handle banking transactions, including bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.

3. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

4. Ad Hoc Duties & Support

  • Provide financial analysis and reports as requested by management.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management.

C. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

D. Experience

  • 4–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounting functions independently.

E. Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 per month
