Senior Accountant - Payroll & US Taxation

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with strong expertise in U.S. accounting, payroll processing, and taxation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, proven leadership ability, and experience managing a finance department. This role requires handling end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring payroll compliance with U.S. tax laws, and providing training and guidance to team members while working during U.S. business hours (night shift).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle U.S. accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage U.S. payroll processing and ensure timely filing of all federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. taxation regulations, including quarterly/annual filings and W-2/1099 reporting.
• Lead, train, and mentor the accounting and payroll team to maintain high performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors for audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in U.S. payroll and tax laws.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. accounting, payroll, and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, payroll compliance, and federal/state tax regulations.
• Experience in team leadership and training within an accounting or payroll department.
• Proficiency with accounting/payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, Gusto) and MS Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and U.S. stakeholders.
• Ability to work night shift aligned with U.S. business hours.

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
