SENIOR ANALYST - EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst - Emerging Technologies is a forward-thinking technology specialist responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending cutting-edge technologies that drive innovation, digital transformation, and operational efficiency across the organization. This role blends strategic foresight with deep technical understanding and practical implementation experience. The ideal candidate will scout global technology trends, assess their relevance to the organization, and develop actionable roadmaps that align with corporate objectives. This position plays a key role in ensuring the company remains competitive, agile, and future-ready in an evolving digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technology Scouting & Research

• Monitor global technology trends, startups, industry innovations, and disruptive solutions.
• Conduct deep-dive research into emerging technologies, including:
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Machine Learning (ML)
• Internet of Things (IoT)
• Blockchain
• Extended Reality (AR/VR/MR)
• 5G, Quantum Computing, and related technologies
• Evaluate the maturity, feasibility, and impact of new technologies on the business.
• Benchmark against industry leaders and assess potential use cases within port, logistics, and industrial operations.

2. Strategic Planning & Technology Roadmapping

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Emerging Technology Roadmap aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
• Create business cases, investment proposals, and adoption timelines for prioritized technologies.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to identify innovation opportunities and align tech initiatives with business needs.
• Define and track KPIs for technology adoption, experimentation, and pilot performance.

3. Innovation Implementation & Support

• Lead or support pilot programs, proofs of concept (PoCs), and technology trials to test new solutions.
• Analyze pilot results and recommend go/no-go decisions for wider deployment.
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment between solution capabilities and operational requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, integration, and scalability for new tech implementations.

4. Governance, Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

• Support technology governance processes, ensuring compliance with digital and innovation frameworks.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to executive leadership on innovation progress and recommendations.
• Act as an innovation ambassador, promoting a culture of experimentation and digital adoption across departments.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Master's degree in Innovation Management, Digital Transformation, or a related discipline (preferred).

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in technology strategy, digital innovation, or emerging tech roles.
• Demonstrated experience in researching, piloting, and implementing new technologies.
• Experience with industry-specific applications of emerging tech (e.g., smart ports, logistics automation, Industry 4.0).

Technical Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of AI, ML, IoT, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, 5G, and XR technologies.
• Familiarity with innovation and design frameworks such as Agile Innovation, Design Thinking, or Lean Startup.
• Strong skills in technology evaluation, vendor engagement, and pilot program execution.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools such as Power BI and SQL is a plus.

• Exposure to digital transformation projects in industrial or infrastructure environments
