Purpose:

Responsible for day-to-day tasks that ensure a smooth operations workflow. Also responsible for the preparation, review, audit and coordination with authorities of local and regional Funds Financials (FFs) and Tax authority.


Responsibilities:

  1. Handle transactions for all funds and portfolios including fees, cash and securities.
  2. Ensure that the closing prices for fixed income and equity securities are reflected on the system on a daily basis.
  3. Ensure that closing prices and foreign exchange rates are duly registered on the system.
  4. Handle bank reconciliations and cash management and ensure there is no delay or deficit in settlements.
  5. Follow-up on daily settlements and accounts reconciliation.
  6. Responsible for processing NAVs.
  7. Check corporate action announcements and prepare them for entry on the clients’ accounts.
  8. Work with external auditors to finalize FFs and with tax consultant to finalize the tax declaration
  9. Prepare and draft FFs statements on a quarterly basis.
  10. Provide the department with any updates or changes announced in IFRS, GAAP and EAS.
  11. Review FFs and ensure they meet the firm’s risk and investment guidelines.
  12. Respond to and follow up on all inquiries from auditors and banks regarding FFs.
  13. Handle tax matters and coordinate with tax consultants regarding declarations and any tax related requirements.
  14. Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of the role.
  15. Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.
  16. Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.


Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.

2. 2- 4 years’ experience.

3. Experience with market data services such as Bloomberg, Reuters…etc.

4. Knowledge of (an advantage in case of an analyst):

o Business Cycle.

o Advent APX- AIM

o Asset management products.

o IFRS, GAAP and Egyptian accounting standards.

o Tax laws.

5. Good command of Microsoft Excel and Word.

6. Good command of Arabic and English.

7. Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening).

8. Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.

9. Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.

10. Ensure deliverable are always of a high quality.

11. Able to work under pressure, while maintaining attention to detail.
