The Senior Associate - Account will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions for assigned clients. This includes preparing financial statements from trial balance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards, and facilitating audit requirements. The role demands strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Prepare and finalize financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and Notes) independently from the trial balance.
  • Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting standards (IFRS / GAAP).
  • Perform reconciliations for bank, receivables, payables, and other control accounts.
  • Review ledgers, journal entries, and adjustments to ensure correctness before finalization.
  • Client Accounting & Liaison
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients in diverse industries.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients to obtain required information and clarify accounting or reporting matters.
  • Provide professional support and insights to clients on accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Audit Coordination & Compliance
  • Act as the primary contact for client audits — coordinate with external auditors, respond to queries, and provide necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure all audit deliverables are prepared accurately and submitted on time.
  • Assist in the implementation of audit recommendations and maintain compliance with audit requirements.
  • System & Process Management
  • Record transactions and maintain accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Zoho Books.
  • Generate management reports, trial balances, and other financial summaries as required.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting and reporting functions.

Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification/certification preferred.)

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a back-office, shared services, or client accounting environment.

Technical Proficiency

  • Hands-on expertise with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS / GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, reconciliations, data validation, etc.).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with clients and auditors.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Timely and accurate preparation of client financial statements.
  • Quality and completeness of audit deliverables and responses.
