Job Description

This is a remote position.

About the Company:
The Organization is a full service firm of corporate strategists, accountants, tax advisory experts and financial and marketing analysts.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled person to lead accounting operations for international clients. This role requires strong technical expertise in accounting standards viz. US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS, leadership in managing teams, and the ability to drive efficiency in financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring both hands-on accounting experience and strategic oversight, ensuring compliance and supporting global business objectives.
It will be a remote role and shift timings will be different.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inter company transactions, and fixed assets.
• Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP or local GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations viz. VAT, Sales Tax, Use Tax or any other indirect tax, and support filings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during statutory and internal audits
• Monitor internal controls, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members; provide training and guidance as needed
• Coordinate with Tax, FP&A, and Business Operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and collaboration.
• Support and drive automation initiatives and efficiency improvements in financial processes.
• Prepare and present financial and management reports for senior leadership.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional certification preferred (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent)
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting with supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAP.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a multinational or multi-entity environment is preferred
