Senior Backend Developer (PHP / Laravel)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in PHP and Laravel to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate is experienced in complex integrations, real-time architectures, and advanced Laravel ecosystem features.

- Experience Required: Minimum 4+ years (Laravel-focused)

### Key Responsibilities

- Architect, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend applications using PHP & Laravel

- Design and implement robust RESTful / API-driven architectures

- Integrate and manage payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Coinbase)

- Build and maintain real-time systems using WebSockets and event broadcasting

- Optimize application performance, database queries, and caching strategies

- Implement background processing and asynchronous workflows

- Ensure high code quality, testing coverage, and secure development practices

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver reliable solutions

### Advanced Laravel Expertise Required

- Laravel Service Container & Dependency Injection

- Queues, Jobs, Workers & Horizon

- Events, Listeners & Broadcasting

- Laravel Echo / WebSockets / Real-time architecture

- Task Scheduling & Automation

- Eloquent ORM optimization & complex query building

- Caching strategies (Redis / Memcached)

- API authentication (JWT, OAuth, Sanctum, Passport)

- Middleware pipelines & request lifecycle handling

- Custom service providers & package development

- Testing (PHPUnit / Feature & Unit tests)

- Database migrations, seeders, factories

- Performance tuning & scaling Laravel applications

### Technical Requirements

- Strong command of PHP (OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles)

- Hands-on experience with payment gateway integrations

- Experience building real-time applications with WebSockets

- Strong database experience: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

- Experience designing scalable backend architectures and APIs

- Version control using Git and modern deployment workflows

### Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with high-traffic or distributed systems

- Microservices or modular architecture experience

- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean)

- CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker)
