Senior Business Development Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Engineer professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading strategic prequalification and registration processes, identifying high-value business opportunities, and managing client and stakeholder relationships. They will also guide junior engineers, collaborate with internal teams, and contribute to the development of business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Prequalification and Registrations :

• Lead the preparation and submission of registration and prequalification documents, ensuring alignment with client and project-specific requirements.
• Manage and update company profiles, ensuring readiness for new business opportunities.
• Prepare presentations, marketing materials & Projects data sheets

Opportunity Identification and Assessment :

• Monitor online platforms, news outlets, and tenders' announcements for high-value opportunities.
• Analyze potential projects and provide recommendations to management for pursuing strategic bids.
• Evaluate competitors’ activities to identify market positioning and growth opportunities.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement :

• Conduct strategic visits to clients, public entities, and consultants to gather insights on key projects and upcoming tenders.
• Establish good relationships with senior peers within client, consultant, and operator organizations.
• Represent the company in industry events and forums to enhance visibility and strengthen networks.

Leadership and Mentorship :

• Provide guidance to junior business development engineers, sharing best practices to enhance team performance.
• Act as a liaison between business development and internal technical teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and expectations.

Reporting and Strategic Planning :

• Contribute to the preparation of the company’s business development plans and strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of business development activities and project pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development within the construction industry.
• Strong networking and negotiation skills.
• Market Research.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
