Senior Clinic Manager

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Purpose:

The Senior Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Skin Laundry clinics within the designated area, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining the highest standards of client care and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in clinic operations management, experience in opening new clinics, and expertise in dermatology/aesthetic services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of Skin Laundry clinics in Abu Dhabi, ensuring smooth and effective clinic functioning while setting the tone as a visible leader who actively participates in tasks as needed.
  • Lead by example in developing, implementing, and improving processes, health and safety protocols, and client care procedures—from reception to treatment rooms. Demonstrate a willingness to assist with tasks that may be considered outside of your primary duties to model strong work ethic and team spirit.
  • Ensure Skin Laundry policies and procedures are effectively communicated to staff and implemented. Show proactive involvement in addressing operational challenges alongside the team.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for improvement and actively participating in problem-solving, fostering a culture where all team members feel empowered to contribute.
  • Work towards ensuring full compliance with DOH regulations, quality standards, and local governmental requirements, while modeling responsibility and accountability in maintaining required clinical and healthcare standards.
  • Manage inventory standards for medical supplies and equipment; work alongside team members to monitor stock levels, prepare reports, and communicate with the Head of Operations.
  • When emergencies arise or client complaints need attention, handle challenging situations calmly and professionally, stepping in to support staff where necessary.
  • Oversee staff allocation, annual leave schedules, and ensure adequate coverage in collaboration with clinic managers and assistant clinic managers. Encourage an open, collaborative approach to scheduling, promoting teamwork across all levels.
  • Manage facility-related projects, including opening new clinics, ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to. Lead and inspire the team through these transitions with hands-on involvement.
  • Maintain clinic cleanliness and organization, demonstrating the same high standards expected of your team to ensure alignment with Skin Laundry's brand and operational excellence.

Sales and Marketing

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Operations and Marketing team to analyze clinic performance, actively participating in discussions and offering strategic suggestions to drive growth.
  • Lead the team in achieving sales targets, ensuring not just the implementation of strategies but also actively driving motivation and engagement with clients and staff to meet customer growth objectives.
  • Monitor clinic revenue streams and assess ROI for services, and work collaboratively with your teams to identify ways to maximize profitability, always modeling a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Financial Accountability

  • Oversee the clinic’s budget, control clinic expenses, billing system, and inventory, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency at all levels. Demonstrate proactive involvement in the financial operations of the clinic by assisting with reconciliation tasks as needed.
  • Manage weekly cash reconciliations, ensuring adherence to budget allocations and taking ownership of cost-management initiatives to drive financial performance.
  • Show accountability in financial decisions, working alongside your team to find creative ways to maximize efficiency without compromising service quality.

Staff Management

  • Actively collaborate with HR to identify manpower needs, recruit employees, and support the ongoing development of your team by providing guidance and mentorship. Be a role model in fostering an environment of collaboration, trust, and mutual respect.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and quarterly KPI evaluations, demonstrating a commitment to staff development and growth. Lead by example in taking constructive feedback and supporting others to improve.
  • Take initiative in identifying staff learning and development needs and work alongside your team to implement training initiatives, demonstrating that leadership is as much about learning as it is about teaching.
  • Develop strategies for staff retention, creating a positive and motivating work environment where high morale is encouraged through action, not just words.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in clinic operations management, ideally within dermatology or aesthetics, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional client care and achieving operational excellence.
  • Experience in opening new clinics and managing associated projects – a hands-on leader who can navigate the complexities of scaling and establishing successful clinic locations, while ensuring that each clinic is set up for long-term success.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOH regulations and standards in Abu Dhabi, with the ability to ensure compliance and maintain the highest quality of care.
  • Strong leadership and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team – a natural influencer who can foster a collaborative, high-performance culture where every team member is engaged, accountable, and aligned with the clinic’s goals.
  • Exceptional business acumen and financial insight, with the ability to balance profitability with client satisfaction, and make strategic decisions that drive growth and operational efficiency.
  • A client-focused mindset – understanding the client experience from their perspective and ensuring the clinic consistently exceeds expectations in terms of service, care, and results.
  • Experience managing doctors and healthcare professionals, including setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient care and team development, while aligning to the business objectives.
  • Fluency in Arabic (preferred) and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills that facilitate seamless interaction with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations with professionalism and efficiency, leading the team through challenges while maintaining focus on the business objectives and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in clinic management systems and MS Office tools, ensuring streamlined operations and accurate tracking of performance metrics and client data.

This role requires someone who combines strong business acumen with a deep understanding of healthcare service excellence.
