Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Financial Management
- Oversee plant-level commercial operations including billing, costing, budgeting, and MIS reporting.
- Monitor and control plant expenses to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Support plant management in cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to plant operations.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with central procurement for raw materials, consumables, spares, and services.
- Handle vendor negotiations, rate contracts, and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Verify purchase orders, GRNs, invoices, and ensure proper documentation.
Inventory & Stores Control
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and stores & spares.
- Ensure proper inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and periodic physical verification.
- Implement inventory control measures to avoid excess, shortage, or obsolescence.
Statutory Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with GST, customs (if applicable), excise (if applicable), and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for timely filings and assessments.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory regulations.
Liaison & Coordination
- Act as a liaison between plant, HO finance/commercial teams, auditors, banks, and government authorities.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, logistics, and HR for smooth plant operations.
- Support audits (internal, statutory, and cost audits) and ensure timely closure of observations.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Ensure proper use of ERP/SAP for commercial transactions and reporting.
- Implement process improvements and internal controls at the plant level.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of plant commercial operations and cost accounting.
- Working knowledge of GST, taxation, and statutory compliances.
- Experience with ERP/SAP systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com CA or equivalent.
- Experience: 8–15 years of experience in plant commercial / manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in building material, FMCG, chemicals, or heavy manufacturing preferred.
