About the Role – Senior Estimation Engineer (Civil)

The Senior Estimation Engineer – Civil is responsible for leading and managing estimation activities for civil projects, ensuring accurate cost planning and competitive tender submissions. The role involves coordinating with internal departments, procurement teams, project leadership, and planning teams to prepare comprehensive and well-supported cost estimates.

This position plays a critical role in pricing strategy, cost analysis, BOQ validation, and maintaining estimation data records to support the organization’s commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

Review received BOQs to ensure compliance with POMI standards and raise clarifications with the BOQ division when required

Lead and manage estimation activities in coordination with the Senior Estimation Manager

Allocate estimators to projects based on priority schedules and submission deadlines

Prepare detailed cost analysis of materials, equipment, labor, subcontracting, and other project resources

Coordinate with procurement category managers to obtain material and subcontract pricing for tenders

Price projects using CCS Candy software and finalize project values in coordination with the Estimation Manager

Follow up with Planning Director and Project Director to obtain staff, plant, and equipment requirements and incorporate them into pricing

Prepare and price preliminaries, site facilities, and other site-related requirements

Respond to miscellaneous site estimation requests received from Project Directors

Attend internal management meetings with Deputy CEO and provide updates on estimation status

Maintain proper documentation and backup records to substantiate BOQ pricing during construction stages

Coordinate with Internal QS auditing teams and provide quantity and cost-related information

Maintain and update rate data records in the estimation drive

Support and mentor estimation team members by sharing technical and pricing expertise

Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks within submission deadlines

Maintain strong communication and coordination with multiple departments

For MEP-related estimations, ensure strong understanding of MEP systems and cost components

Adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BE / B.Sc. Engineering)

10–25 years of experience in estimation within main contracting or developer organizations

Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, quantity take-off, and pricing

Hands-on experience in CCS Candy software is mandatory

Experience working with BOQs as per POMI standards

Valid UAE Driving License preferred
