Job Purpose


  • The position reports to and operates under the guidance of, the Manager SCM, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The position is responsible to conduct sourcing for Pakistan and Srilanka requirements as per policy & procedures and deliver the targeted business results. Success involves understanding the business and commercials and associated supply market and demand characteristics, contract requirements and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track of hands-on Procurement experience and knowledge, particularly for Tower and related services (Passive Network) will gain weightage in functional assessments.
  • Proficiency in basic organization software (MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)) is a must.
  • The ability to interact and communicate effectively and sensitively with key stakeholders and decision makers is essential


Key Accountabilities

Project Management and RFx Execution:

  • Execution of RFx processes, emphasizing RFP/RFQ best practices and fostering innovation in the bid evaluation process.
  • drive the Bid Evaluation process, applying industry benchmarks and strategic considerations to supplier selection.


Contract Negotiation and Approval:

  • Support in contract negotiation processes as required, leveraging negotiation best practices to secure favourable terms for the organization including aligning with strategic objectives and risk mitigation.


Collaborative Responsibilities:

  • Drive collaboration and foster relationships with cross-functional teams to integrate strategic SCM activities seamlessly into the broader business strategy.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning, Supplier Relationship Management, and other support functions to ensure a holistic and synchronized approach to supply chain operations.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers influencing favourable terms to optimize costs, quality, and delivery.
  • Support in execution of category management strategies aligned with overall business goals, market trends and industry best practices.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Majors in SCM is an added advantage
  • 5-7 years’ proven experience in conducting hands on sourcing activities
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry

Skills & Knowledge

  • Data analysis and Grasp on basic MS applications (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Basic understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles and application in practice
  • Possess an analytical mindset, agile and comfortable working in an environment characterised by rapid change.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong negotiation skills.
