Senior Import Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Import Specialist to join our growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the continuity of international supplier research, selection, and evaluation processes.
• Organizing and closely monitoring customs, logistics, and product safety procedures from the initial overseas order until the goods enter the warehouse.
• Staying up-to-date with current legislation regarding international procurement.
• Contacting suppliers for required purchases, collecting quotations, and conducting evaluations.
• Preparing contracts for materials, equipment, and services to be purchased.
• Conducting research for alternative suppliers and sub-industry partners.
• Planning and performing supplier/sub-industry audits and inspections when necessary; reporting audit results and initiating corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields,
• Solid knowledge of import legislation and Incoterms,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive, HVAC, or white goods industries.
• Experience in customs and logistics operations is a plus,
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP,
• Advanced level of written and verbal communication in English.
• Advanced negotiation and bargaining skills.
