Senior IT Presales Engineer – IT Hardware & AV Solutions

Position Overview:

This role bridges technical expertise and sales strategy. The Senior Presales Engineer works closely with the sales team to understand client requirements, design tailored IT hardware and audio-visual (AV) solutions, and deliver compelling technical presentations. The position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex solutions into business value.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Design

• Gather and analyze customer requirements for IT infrastructure and AV systems.
• Design customized solutions including hardware (servers, storage, networking) and AV setups (video conferencing, digital signage, control systems
• Prepare high-level and detailed solution architecture, including BoM (Bill of Materials) and BoQ (Bill of Quantities).

Presales Support

• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate technical documentation and competitive proposals.
• Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) and site surveys for AV installations.

Collaboration & Advisory

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on IT hardware configurations, AV integration, and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate with internal teams (sales, product, engineering) and vendors to ensure solution feasibility and compliance. [

Market & Technology Awareness

• Stay updated on latest IT hardware trends (servers, storage, virtualization) and AV technologies (Crestron, AMX, conferencing systems).
• Conduct competitive analysis and recommend innovative solutions to meet client needs.

Post-Sales Support

• Assist in installation planning, technical training, and troubleshooting during early deployment phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, IT, or related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years in presales or technical consulting for IT hardware and AV solutions.
• Technical Skills:
• IT Infrastructure: Servers (Dell, HPE), Storage (SAN/NAS), Networking (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet).
• AV Systems: Crestron, AMX, video conferencing platforms.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for AV design.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to simplify technical concepts for business users
