Role Overview
We are seeking a
Maintenance Planning Senior Manager
with
deep, hands-on expertise in IBM Maximo Scheduler
to lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and optimization across a complex, asset-intensive environment.
This role is critical in ensuring maintenance activities are
accurately built, scheduled, optimized, and controlled within Maximo
, enabling high asset availability, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Maximo Planning & Scheduling (Core Focus)

Own and lead
maintenance planning and scheduling using IBM Maximo Scheduler
as the primary system of record.

Build, maintain, and optimize
job plans, PMs, routes, and schedules
within Maximo to support preventive, predictive, corrective, and reactive maintenance.

Act as the
Maximo Scheduler subject-matter expert
, ensuring effective configuration, logic, and use of scheduling rules, constraints, calendars, and resources.

Ensure maintenance work is
fully planned, scheduled, leveled, and forecasted
in Maximo to minimize operational disruption.

Establish and enforce
planning and scheduling standards
aligned with OEM recommendations, statutory requirements, and asset management best practices.

Review, prioritize, and approve work orders within Maximo, optimizing manpower, contractor utilization, and asset availability.

Develop and manage
standardized fault and job templates
to improve work order quality and scheduling efficiency.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance
schedule compliance, wrench time, and planning accuracy

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Provide functional leadership and guidance to planners, technicians, and contractors on
Maximo planning and scheduling best practices
.

Work closely with Facilities Managers, operations teams, and service providers to ensure
schedule adherence and execution discipline
.

Communicate maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and changes clearly to all stakeholders.
Data, Reporting & Performance Management
-
Ensure
data integrity, completeness, and accuracy
of all maintenance records within Maximo.

Develop and maintain
planning and scheduling dashboards
using Maximo data, Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel.

Monitor and report on KPIs such as
schedule compliance, PM attainment, backlog health, data quality, and asset performance
.

Analyze Maximo data to identify trends, systemic issues, and optimization opportunities across the asset portfolio.

Prepare performance reports and insights for senior leadership, supporting
CAPEX planning and asset lifecycle decisions

Compliance, Risk & Governance
-
Ensure maintenance planning and scheduling practices meet audit, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements.

Support internal and external audits with
robust Maximo records and traceable maintenance history
.

Identify planning and scheduling risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
-
Degree in Engineering or Facilities Management (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)
-
Diploma or equivalent with strong relevant experience considered
Experience (Essential)
-
10+ years’ experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
-
Extensive hands-on experience with IBM Maximo, including Maximo Scheduler (mandatory)

Experience in aviation, FM, or critical infrastructure environments preferred
Technical Expertise

Advanced Maximo configuration and scheduling knowledge

Strong understanding of MEP systems and complex operational assets

Advanced data analysis using
Power BI, SQL, and Excel
