Asset Management Officer

The Asset Management Officer is responsible for the effective management, control, and protection of all company assets and company property, including land, buildings, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and IT assets, throughout their lifecycle. The role ensures accurate records, optimal utilization, regulatory compliance, and safeguarding of company property.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date register of all company assets and company property ( buildings, offices, equipment, vehicles, IT assets, furniture etc).
• Track asset and property acquisition, allocation, transfer, depreciation, and disposal.
• Ensure all company property and assets are properly documented, tagged, and legally recorded where applicable.
• Conduct regular physical inspections and verification of assets and company property.
• Monitor the condition, maintenance, and insurance coverage of company property and fixed assets.
• Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, and improvements with relevant departments and service providers.
• Ensure proper use, custody, and safeguarding of company property to prevent loss, misuse, or damage.
• Prepare asset and property management reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
• Support internal and external audits related to assets and company property.
• Ensure compliance with asset management policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify underutilized, obsolete, or high-cost assets and property and recommend optimization, leasing, or disposal.
• Liaise with finance, procurement, legal, facilities, and operations teams on asset and property matters.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Estate Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in asset management, property management, facilities management, or inventory control.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and integrity.
