Introduction:
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the overall coordination of the research projects. This involves preparing, implementing, updating project documents, communicating with collaborators, donors, and investigators, capacity building of project staff, quality assurance, sharing of results at national and International forums, and compilation of project progress and technical reports and manuscripts. Specific responsibilities include to:

lead a team of data analysts to provide statistical support during all phases of research studies, including study design protocol development, sample size estimation, subject randomization, statistical analyses, and data presentation

interpret results of analyses and maintain consistent analytical approaches and reporting formats across studies

provide leadership to cross-functional activities, including data management and analytics, ensuring integrity of research data and supervision for data quality assurance

plan supervise, and deliver statistical analyses, data presentations, interpretation and synthesis of results for scientific reports and publications
-
review project protocols and data collection tools to ensure compliance with scientific and statistical requirements

provide support for data presentation for publication of research results and maintain liaison with project supervisors principal investigators and departmental head
-
train and support ongoing development of analytic competencies among data analysts assist in design and review of study databases and provide support in statistical workshops and seminars.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
You should have:
-
Master’s degree in Computer Science MIS or a relevant subject
-
at least ten years of relevant experience, preferably in MIS
-
ability to collaborate effectively, develop research study designs, formulate hypotheses and coordinate with data management teams
-
in-depth understanding of advanced analytical concepts and statistical techniques, including hypothesis development, designing tests analysing data and developing actionable recommendations

excellent command of statistical packages, including STATA ,R and SPSS
-
strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
-
strong verbal and written communication skills
-
proven leadership and mentoring skills.
