Senior Manager - Human Resources

Job Overview
Clark Logic is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources to help lead and support the company’s HR function. This role will work closely with leadership to implement HR strategies while ensuring strong day-to-day execution of HR programs and processes.

The Senior HR Manager will supervise two HR Business Partners and remain actively involved in HR operations, providing guidance, support, and hands-on leadership across the HR function. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution to support a growing organization.

This position is primarily on-site at our Portage, Michigan headquarters, with collaboration across multiple operational locations.

Duties

  • Support the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with company growth and operational goals.
  • Supervise and mentor two HR Business Partners, ensuring consistent HR support across departments and locations.
  • Participate in and oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and HR program execution.
  • Serve as an active member of the HR team while helping guide the overall HR function.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s HRIS (Rippling), including system administration, reporting, integrations, and implementation of new features.
  • Lead HR technology initiatives and support HR system integrations and process improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with benefits brokers, overseeing benefits administration and renewals.
  • Oversee benefits administration, time and attendance processes, and HR-related operational functions.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Utilize HR metrics and data to improve HR programs and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience supervising HR team members or HR Business Partners preferred.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (Rippling experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR operations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or other operational environments preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification preferred.

Pay: $90,415.98 - $104,909.56 per year
