BAE Systems is seeking an experienced supply chain professional to manage the Procurement Compliance team. This position reports to the Director of Procurement Compliance supporting a supply chain organization responsible for $3b+ in annual material requirements for the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector. With over 1,000 supply chain professionals, the ES Sector supply chain team spans multiple locations primarily in the United States and the United Kingdom. The primary responsibilities of this role include managing overall compliance to both company policy and the government and industry regulations associated with procurement and material management. There is significant collaboration required among the supply chain leads of each of the sector’s business areas, encompassing a broad range of technologies and requirements. Key areas of responsibility as the Manager of Procurement Compliance include:
  • Maintaining our procurement systems and processes, ensuring compliance with complex regulatory requirements while improving the agility of the procurement process
  • Conducting internal audits and file reviews to assess the procurement file completeness and regulatory compliance
  • Preparing for and support DCMA, DCAA and other external or internal audits and reviews
  • Expanding procurement training and knowledge sharing across the procurement function
  • Leading cross-functional compliance related initiatives across the sector
  • Supporting the continued growth and development of the Procurement Compliance team The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following:
  • Ability to identify, design and implement process improvements across cross-functional systems within a regulated environment
  • Experience mapping and managing complex business processes and understanding their impact
  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Extensive experience in Government DoD procurement compliance, overall knowledge of supply chain and how it operates in both commercial and defense contract environments
  • Excellent relationship / interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to foster and grow relationships cross-functionally
  • Strategic planning to meet long term transformation goals
  • Continuous improvement mindset with an ability to challenge the status quo
  • Fast learner with a “make it happen attitude”

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Law
  • 10+ years experience in a large, complex, multifaceted design & manufacturing environment
  • 2-3+ years in managerial or supervisory position
  • Well versed with Oracle ERP system
  • Secret clearance or secret eligible
  • Strong understanding of defense aerospace industry & regulations and the understanding of the role of the supply chain in complex industries
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and the nature of flow down requirements.
  • Knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation)
  • Knowledge of Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) regulations and material estimating practices
  • Experience leading major procurement efforts in a Department of Defense (DOD) contracting environment

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 5+ years experience in compliance, audit or regulatory role

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132000 - $224400

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
