Job Purpose


The role is responsible for delivering information technology and digital solutions that support business growth and scalability. This includes translating business needs into technical specifications, overseeing solution delivery, and managing post-implementation maintenance to ensure production stability.

As a Senior Manager, you will have a range of responsibilities from shaping and implementing digital products to ensuring that we stay on the leading edge technology. You will be expected to contribute across the Channels Communication Platform (SMS / EMAIL / PUSH and Statements ) development life cycle from front end to backend integration and support for existing API services, DevOps infrastructure that supports CICD pipelines. you will work in a cross-functional team with the Product Owner, Designers, Engineers and Platform owners to co-develop the digital products.

As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate with Infrastructure, Service Management, Governance, Security, Data Center, and Network teams, as well as vendors and service providers, to oversee 'Run the Bank' operations and ensure the stability of the production environment. You will also be accountable for managing production incidents and performing impact assessments on new changes to proactively mitigate potential risks.


Key result Areas


  • Conduct system analysis and development in response to user requirements, project involvement or changing technologies.
  • Design and develop information technology solutions making specific determinations about system performance.
  • Prepare/verify production transfer documentation.
  • Monitor applications to ensure adequate system resources to process at production standards.
  • Follow up and co-ordinate with internal teams for SIT, UAT support and Production Rollout.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) arising from production system disruption and gather required information and logs from the system for investigation.
  • If required, follow up with vendor for resolution and closure of the issue.
  • Deploy bug fixes in test environment and perform SIT.
  • Get the fix tested by users and take appropriate actions to move the change in Production.
  • Coordinate with DBA Team for re-indexing and health monitoring activities as per the DB system requirements.
  • Coordinate with Command Center team to set up proactive alerts to prevent the incidents.
  • Coordinate with associated teams for Security/OS/DB patches in development environment and conduct adequate testing before releasing the same patches to production environment.
  • Manage the production service tickets, incidents and prepare the RCA documents.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Good Knowledge of Communication Platforms.
  • Good knowledge of Online Banking, Payments, and Wallet domains.
  • Good knowledge of Microservice Architecture, DevOPS Pipelines.
  • Good knowledge of Azure Cloud Solutions and Deployment process.
  • Ability to work on Oracle, SQL Server PL-SQL knowledge mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of Core Java with external systems integration like DB/Web services/Restful.
  • Good knowledge of Apache/Tom cat or any other web server.
  • Good knowledge of J2EE/SPRING BOOT/ JRE/.Net and VXML.
  • Good knowledge of client browsers and configurations.
  • Ability to review and understand system documentation.
  • Good verbal and written communication including ability to prepare system documentation.
  • Ability to interpret solution documentation and identify areas of concern and recommend approach.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
  • 4-8 years programming and support experience with 5+ years of project work and team & stakeholder management in a relevant domain.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent.
