Senior Officer - Learning and Development

Coordinates and leads the learning and professional development of the organization's workforce by Identifying training needs for the organization/individual and defining the appropriate training delivery methods. The job holder is responsible for designing and implementing training plans to meet training needs linked to both organization/ individual's goals. Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the training while ensuring a Safe workplace. Lead the internship, Grow program, and the internal trainers network

Training needs identification
  • liaising with managers and interviewing employees at all levels to identify and assess training and development needs.
  • Conducting training needs surveys.
  • Coordinate in preparing training need analysis forms.
  • Define with management the different Learning and development requirements base on job needs and in line with company policies and procedures.
Training Delivery
  • Work in a team and in coordination with managers to produce programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organization, such as supervisors, line managers, and senior managers at board level.
  • Responsible for managing and developing a strong and relevant training provider's network.Coordinate with training institutions for appropriate methods of training.
  • Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and the individual.
  • Capitalize on the internal trainer's network in programs delivery.
  • Design and implement training plans to meet training requirements.
  • Coordinate with external training agencies to introduce new programs for development of employees.
  • Update training schedule to concerned employees, and prepare the training calendar.
  • Coordinate in implementation of training programs.
  • Ensure that new recruits are properly trained in their respective fields.
  • Assist in the preparation of the training budget.
  • Monitor budget to ensure that training costs do not exceed allocated funds.
  • Coordinate the programs from DP World regional/ corporate and take appropriate measures to introduce the same.
L&D Effectiveness
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the training.
  • Prepare training reports.
  • Track attendance record in training programs.
  • Identify reasons for absence from training programs.Follow up with development plans for trainees and insure regular evaluation and proper progress.
  • Ensure employee database is maintained and updated for training history and development plans progress.
  • Analyse training data.
Other Responsibilities
  • Promote and demonstrate positive behaviors in harmony with DP World's Principals.
  • Develops and manages the Internal Trainers network.
  • Coordinates the young talents developments program GROW and make sure that the program participants are well developed and assessed.
  • Responsible for the E-Learning activities and hold administration rights for the I- learn database.
  • Coordinates the reporting and different L&D activities between DP world Jeddah and regional office and the corporate L&D department (DP World HUB).
  • Responsible for all related L&D KPI's to be issued on timely basis.
  • Responsible to maintain safety and discipline in the work area and compliance with HSE policy.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Experience in HR/ Training function: 3 to 5 years.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Education: Diploma/ Graduate in Human Resource.
  • Preferable: Bachelor.
  • English language.
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
  • Written and spoken communication skills.Presentation skills.
  • problem-solving and negotiation skills.
