Accountabilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for electrical engineering projects.

Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality suppliers.

Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
-
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure optimal cost savings and quality.
-
Source electrical components and materials as per project specifications and timelines.

Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.
-
Prepare and manage procurement budgets.
-
Analyze and report on cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to financial targets.
-
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance.
-
Work closely with project managers, design teams, and site engineers to understand project requirements.

Align procurement schedules with project timelines and milestones.
-
Review technical specifications and drawings to ensure materials meet required standards.

Collaborate with the quality assurance team for material inspections and approvals.

Monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and responsiveness.

Address and resolve supplier-related issues to maintain seamless operations.
-
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans.

Manage shortages, delays, or quality issues efficiently.

Generate regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and supplier compliance.

Use data-driven insights to improve procurement efficiency.

Stay updated on market trends and new technologies in electrical engineering.

Implement innovative procurement solutions to enhance processes and outcomes.

Education Background:
-
Bachelor’s degree in
electrical
engineering.
Qualification:
-
Minimum
5 – 7 years of experience
in procurement, preferably in the electrical, construction, or manufacturing industries.

A master’s degree or relevant certifications in supply chain management or procurement is an advantage.

Proven expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers for electrical components, systems, and related materials.

Experience in vendor identification, evaluation, and relationship management.

Track record of developing supplier partnerships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Experience in coordinating procurement activities with project teams to meet technical specifications and project schedules.

Ability to handle procurement for multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills Required:

Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and materials.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure compliance in procurement activities.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
