Role will be responsible for supplier management execution and support Admin, Marketing, other categories and procurement governance incumbents


Objectives


  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new supplier sources and opportunities across an wide array of procurement categories. This includes, but is not limited to, IT services, marketing & advertising, HR services, logistics, general expenses, and other indirect materials/services. Support the development and execution of strategic category plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Supplier Relationship & Performance Management: Cultivate, nurture, and manage strong, long-term relationships with both existing and potential suppliers. Implement and monitor robust supplier performance evaluation metrics to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and service levels. Proactively address any performance issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead and participate in the negotiation of favourable terms and conditions for procurement contracts. Ensure all agreements are legally sound, commercially viable, and meticulously tracked throughout their lifecycle.
  • Cost Optimization & Value Creation: Spearhead initiatives aimed at identifying and capitalizing on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service. Actively explore alternative products, services, and suppliers to drive greater efficiency and enhance overall value for the organization.
  • Tender & Bidding Process Management: Efficiently manage end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes. Conduct comprehensive bid evaluations, provide insightful analysis, and play a critical role in the final supplier selection process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between the Procurement department and various internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, IT, Marketing, HR, and Operations. Understand their unique requirements and translate them into effective, timely, and compliant procurement solutions.
  • Market Intelligence & Risk Mitigation: Continuously monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and economic indicators impacting the procurement landscape. Identify potential supply chain risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on procurement activities, spend analysis, savings achievements, and market insights for senior management, enabling data-driven decision-making.


Skills and Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of demonstrated, hands-on experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain role within a dynamic corporate environment.
  • Proven expertise in managing procurement activities across diverse categories (indirect materials/services) .
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications , particularly Excel (for data analysis, reporting, and modeling).
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership, a results-oriented approach, and a proactive attitude.
