Job Description
- Oversee day-to-day civil and structural construction activities, ensuring all works are executed in line with approved drawings, project specifications, safety policies, and timeline commitments.
- Act as the primary coordinator between consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to facilitate seamless communication and project delivery.
- Prepare detailed daily site logs, weekly progress reports, and monthly performance reviews, identifying achievements, challenges, and necessary corrective measures.
- Monitor and update project schedules, highlight potential delays, and develop action plans to meet contractual milestones.
- Conduct frequent site inspections and audits to verify compliance with QA/QC requirements, building codes, and engineering standards.
- Review technical submissions, shop drawings, and material approvals to ensure alignment with design intent and contractual obligations.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards on site, ensuring a safe working environment and promoting safety awareness among all team members.
- Assist in budget and cost control by tracking material usage, validating subcontractor works, and supporting interim payment applications.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to site engineers, supervisors, and foremen in solving engineering and construction issues.
- Maintain complete and organized project records including RFIs, NCRs, inspection checklists, as-built drawings, and correspondence.
- Represent the company in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings, providing timely updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for value engineering, optimizing resource allocation, and improving construction methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil site supervision and project execution (residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects).
- Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies, QA/QC processes, and regulatory authority requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and scheduling tools (Primavera P6 / MS Project).
- Familiarity with contracts, technical documentation, and project approval procedures.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong reporting abilities.
- GCC work experience and a valid driving license are preferred.
