Senior Project Manager – Aluminium & Glass Façade

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the complete lifecycle management of façade projects, specializing in aluminium and glazing systems. The role requires strong expertise in quality control, time management, and project execution, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards while adhering to strict project timelines and budgets.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Aluminium & Glass Façade industry
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning, Scheduling & Time Management

• Develop detailed project schedules, milestones, and execution strategies
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines through proactive monitoring and control
• Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure timely approvals, procurement, and execution
• Monitor productivity and optimize resource allocation on a daily and/or weekly to achieve planned progress

Quality Management & Assurance

• Establish and implement QA/QC procedures specific to aluminium and façade works
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and international standards
• Monitor and control- Material quality, Fabrication standards & Installation workmanship
• Review and approve - MIR (Material Inspection Requests, WIR (Work Inspection Requests) & Method Statements and ITPs
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance
• Coordinate with consultants for inspections and approvals without delays
• Ensure proper documentation for all quality-related processes

Design & Engineering Coordination

• Review façade design, shop drawings, and system details
• Coordinate with architects and consultants for technical approvals
• Ensure design compliance with performance requirements and local regulations

Material & Technical Expertise

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of aluminium profile systems, glazing types, sealants, and façade accessories
• Evaluate system performance, specifications, and supplier capabilities
• Ensure all materials are approved and compliant before procurement and installation

Authority & Client Approvals

• Manage all drawing and material submissions to consultants and authorities
• Track approval timelines and ensure no impact on project schedule
• Address comments and expedite resubmissions

Procurement & Contract Management

• Plan procurement schedules aligned with project timelines
• Monitor long-lead items and ensure timely delivery
• Manage subcontractors, variations, and contractual obligations

Site Execution & Monitoring

• Manage a Team of Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors
• Oversee site activities, ensuring alignment with approved drawings and schedules
• Track daily/weekly progress and implement corrective measures where required
• Ensure coordination between different trades to avoid delays

Documentation & Commercial Control

• Prepare and manage- Payment applications, Variation claims & Progress reports
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Enforce HSE policies and ensure safe working practices on site
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and project-specific safety standards

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Lead project meetings and provide progress updates
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
• Ensure client satisfaction through timely and quality delivery

Project Close-Out & Handover

• Ensure completion of snagging and de-snagging works within defined timelines
• Manage final inspections, approvals, and documentation
• Ensure smooth and timely project handover

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in quality assurance and control in façade works
• Excellent time management and scheduling skills
• In-depth knowledge of aluminium systems, glazing, and façade technologies
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
