Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

SME Electromechanical is seeking a highly skilled and professional Quantity Surveyor (MEP) to join our project team. We are looking for a dedicated commercial professional with extensive site experience and a proven track record in managing MEP-specific project costs.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of MEP services on-site, ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cost analysis, estimations, and budgeting for MEP services.
• Conduct regular site measurements and verify work progress for interim payment applications.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including detailed evaluation and certification of works.
• Prepare, negotiate, and finalize variation orders and claims.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with project managers and clients to ensure all commercial activities align with contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of professional experience specifically as a Quantity Surveyor for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
• Site Expertise: Extensive experience working directly on-site is essential.
• Availability: Candidates must be available for immediate joining.
• Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, proficiency in QS software, and a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems and current market rates.
