Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - MEP
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Department: Contracts Department

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor – MEP to assist the Contracts Manager in managing subcontractor claims, verifying invoices, and preparing cost reports. The role requires coordination with multiple departments to ensure accurate measurement, certification, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study and interpret contract agreements and project documentation.
  • Calculate quantities for various disciplines and coordinate with the planning department for project cost loading.
  • Review and certify subcontractors’ payments, ensuring work is executed as per project requirements.
  • Assist in resolving subcontractor claims and preparation of variation orders.
  • Prepare project budgets, monthly cost reports, and final measurements/BOQs.
  • Review inspection requests (RFAs) prepared by Assistant QS and follow up with consultants for approval.
  • Review approved shop drawings and as-built drawings; report variations and propose new rates.
  • Prepare measurement sheets, final measurements, variations, and estimates for new rates.

Other Duties:

  • Assist in drafting subcontractor agreements.
  • Prepare material reconciliation reports for the project.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

EHS Responsibilities:

  • Understand and assist in implementing the Specific Site Safety Plan (SSSP).
  • Attend safety inductions and ensure team compliance with safety protocols.
  • Communicate hazards to HSE and project management.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safe working practices.

Key Interactions:

  • Support the Procurement Corporate office in subcontract contract awards.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Department regarding cost implications of RFIs.
  • Collaborate with project management, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying - MEP, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven 8+years local experience of UAE (Preferred Sharjah)
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, cost control, and measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant QS software.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of EHS standards and site safety practices.
  • Knowledge on regulations of SEWA/DEWA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
