KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
General
Commercial & Strategic Leadership
· Lead the execution of GBI’s sales strategy across assigned channels and accounts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
· Own and grow key strategic accounts, negotiating commercial terms, listings, and long-term partnership agreements.
· Drive sustainable revenue growth, market share expansion, and brand visibility across On-Trade and selected Off-Trade channels.
· Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and whitespace for portfolio expansion.
Sales Performance & Profitability
· Own sales forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategies, and P&L performance.
· Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, and account productivity using CRM and BI tools.
· Drive margin optimization through disciplined pricing, promotional planning, and cost control.
· Ensure delivery against volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
Execution & Market Presence
· Oversee promotional, sponsorship, and activation activities in collaboration with Business Managers and Brand Teams.
· Ensure high-quality execution of brand standards and POS placement across accounts.
· Coordinate distributor activities, including listings, staff training, activations, and field execution.
· Ensure compliance with Bahrain market regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
· Provide leadership, coaching, and performance guidance to assigned sales team members.
· Foster a high-performance, collaborative sales culture focused on accountability and results.
· Act as a senior commercial interface with distributors, hotel groups, key accounts, and internal stakeholders.
· Share best practices, market intelligence, and commercial insights with senior management.
Reporting & Insights
· Deliver accurate weekly and monthly reports on sales results, forecasts, pipeline, competitor activity, and market insights.
· Provide strategic recommendations based on market data, customer feedback, and performance analysis.
· Report competitor movements, pricing activity, and market developments proactively.
Additional Responsibilities
· Support cross-functional initiatives as directed by the Head of Sales.
· Perform any other duties required to support the overall success of the business.
BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
· Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in beverage, FMCG, hospitality, or distribution sales within the GCC.
· Demonstrated experience managing senior key accounts and complex commercial negotiations.
· Strong understanding of On-Trade dynamics (hotels, bars, restaurants); Off-Trade exposure is a plus.
· Proven track record of P&L ownership, forecasting, pricing, and commercial planning.
· Experience working closely with distributors and principals.
· WSET Level 2 (mandatory); higher levels strongly preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Skills
· Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Confident communicator with senior hotel groups, distributors, and executive stakeholders.
· Strategic thinker with strong commercial judgment.
· Highly organized, accountable, and comfortable operating independently.
· Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is a strong advantage.
· Valid Bahrain driving license (or ability to obtain).
