The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales and revenue generation at the Courtyard By Marriott Indianapolis. This is a great opportunity add corporate accounts and group business at a full service hotel. Best of all our property completed a complete renovation. This property is part of the Modern Management portfolio of hotels. Modern Management owns and manages its properties. Modern Management owns and operates 12 properties in the mid-west so opportunities for advancement are available.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new group and corporate account business in the Indianapolis Airport Market.
• Meet and exceed booking and solicitation goals.
• Create value added proposals that demonstrate benefits versus discounting rates.
• Strengthen relationships with current accounts to drive additional revenue.
• Negotiate group contracts and LNR agreements.
• Attend revenue meetings with the General Manager and corporate team; make rate recommendations.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and team progress to senior management.

Skills

• Strong background hospitality sales, preferably in the Indianapolis Airport Market.
• Previous experience with the Marriott Family of hotels is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
• Demonstrated success in business development within relevant markets. .
