Reporting To: Directors / Head of Sales (Solar)

Job Objective

The Senior Sales Manager – Solar Division will be responsible for leading and driving the overall sales performance of the solar business, with full ownership of sales targets, strategy development, and business growth across CNI and related segments. This role requires a strategic leader who can translate market intelligence into actionable sales initiatives, manage and inspire high-performing sales teams, and strengthen the Company’s brand presence in the solar energy market.

The incumbent will work closely with the Head Of Sales and Directors to define sales direction, expansion plans, pricing strategies, promotions, and long-term growth initiatives while ensuring consistent execution on ground.

Key Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed overall divisional revenue and market share targets for solar solutions.
  • Take full ownership of sales targets for all assigned sales teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging market segments within the solar industry.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage Sales Managers, Team Leads, and sales executives, fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.
  • Work closely with Directors on sales planning, forecasting, pricing strategies, promotions, and business expansion decisions.
  • Drive branding and promotional initiatives in coordination with the marketing team to enhance visibility and positioning of solar products and solutions.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, competitor activity, and technological advancements to guide strategic sales decisions.
  • Review sales performance metrics, pipeline health, and conversion ratios, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure strong engagement with key clients, consultants, EPC partners, and corporate customers to build long-term, sustainable relationships.
  • Oversee proposal development, negotiations, and contract closures for high-value and strategic accounts.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM systems and sales tools to maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and customer data.
  • Manage sales budgets efficiently, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI and team productivity.
  • Ensure continuous development of the sales team through training on product knowledge, technical understanding, market trends, and consultative selling techniques.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering (Mandatory) Electrical preferred
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)Preferred

Experience

  • 4–6+ years of progressive experience in sales, preferably in solar / renewable energy solutions
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a senior or team leadership role with responsibility for achieving large-scale sales targets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs180,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
