Senior VAT Accountant

Bolivia Carajo is a high-energy leader in the automotive and retail sector. As Qatar’s fiscal landscape evolves, we are looking for a high-caliber Senior VAT Accountant to join our Ar-Rayyan operations.

In this role, you aren’t just a "numbers person"—you are a specialist guardian of our indirect tax strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring that every transaction, from showroom sales to international parts procurement, is perfectly aligned with Qatari tax regulations. Your Key Responsibilities

• VAT Compliance & Filing: Take full ownership of the periodic VAT return preparation and submission via the Dhareeba portal.
• Transaction Analysis: Audit sales and purchase invoices to ensure correct VAT treatment (Standard, Zero-rated, or Exempt).
• Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations between the VAT ledger and the General Ledger to ensure 100% data integrity.
• Supply Chain Support: Provide tax guidance on the import/export of vehicles and spare parts, ensuring correct Customs-VAT linkages.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in our ERP system to automate tax calculations and reporting.
• Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for the General Tax Authority (GTA) and manage all VAT-related inquiries or audits.

Who You Are

• The Professional: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or a Tax-specific diploma) is highly preferred.
• The Specialist: You have 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years focused specifically on VAT within the GCC region.
• The Tech Enthusiast: Advanced Excel skills and experience with Tier-1 ERPs (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) are essential.
• Detailed & Diligent: You have a "detective" mindset—nothing escapes your notice when it comes to compliance.
• Communicator: Fluent in English; ability to explain complex tax implications to non-finance department heads.
