The Role

As our Senior Accountant, you will oversee the full accounting cycle, ensuring our financial health is robust and our reporting is flawless. You will act as a bridge between operational data and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Compliance & Tax: Manage Qatar-specific tax requirements, including VAT filing and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance.
• Audit Management: Lead the year-end audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and monitor variances.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and streamline financial workflows.
• Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Who You Are

• Expertly Qualified: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CMA) is highly preferred.
• Experienced: You have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the Qatar market.
• Tech-Savvy: You are a master of ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, or Oracle) and possess advanced Excel skills (VBA and Power Pivot are a plus).
• Analytical: You don’t just report figures; you explain the "why" behind them.
• Fluent: Professional proficiency in English is required; Arabic is a significant advantage.
