Sequencing Automation Manager

Description

NYX, Inc. is seeking a skilled Sequencing Manager to oversee and maintain our critical IT infrastructure and Insequence software systems. This role is integral to ensuring that our manufacturing plant locations across the US and Mexico operate seamlessly around the clock. The ideal candidate is someone who listens attentively, can effectively “read a screen,” and is adaptable to shift work beyond traditional day hours.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Type: Full-Time (Night and Weekend Shifts Required)

On-Site Support

Install, update, and configure hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Perform routine maintenance, including monitoring system performance and integrity.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to prevent disruption.
Protect IT systems and data from threats by implementing, managing, and maintaining security measures.
Provide technical support to users and manage user accounts.
Document problems, solutions, and system configurations.

Server Management & Maintenance:

Oversee and manage Windows Server environments.
Ensure optimal performance and security of servers.
Database & Reporting Administration:
Maintain and optimize SQL databases, including routine maintenance and query performance.
Develop and manage SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports to support operational decision-making.

Insequence Software Administration:

Assist in system configuration
Develop and deliver user training programs to ensure effective utilization.
Provide on-site and remote support and troubleshooting for end-users to resolve technical issues swiftly.

Support Across Locations:

Provide IT support for manufacturing plant locations in the US and Mexico.
Coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistent and reliable IT services.

Shift Flexibility:

Cover night and weekend shifts to ensure 24/7 support, filling the gap left by day shift staff.
Monitor systems proactively during off-hours to promptly address any issues.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Tier 1 Supplier
Automotive Insequence Software Administration
ILVS, SPD

Technical Expertise:

Proven experience managing Windows Server environments.
Strong skills in SQL database maintenance, query optimization, and SSRS.
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and support enterprise software solutions, preferably with experience in Insequence or similar systems.

Communication & Problem-Solving:

Excellent listening skills and the ability to interpret technical data and system alerts accurately.
Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills for user training and remote support.

Flexibility:

Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.
Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
A commitment to continuous learning to keep up with evolving IT trends.

Experience:

A minimum of [X] years of experience in IT systems management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working with geographically dispersed teams across different time zones.
Certifications in Microsoft Server administration, SQL Server, or relevant IT management credentials.
Experience in process improvement and IT project management.
