As Service Asset & Configuration Management Analyst, you’ll play a key role in Support in the organisation’s Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) function. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a critical IT capability and grow within an organisation that values SACM excellence.
Role Summary
We are looking for a meticulous SCM Analyst to support our SACM capability. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Asset Inventory, enabling effective IT service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical IT function and grow within an organisation that values strong SACM practices.
What You’ll Do

Ensure correct application of Service Configuration Management (SCM) across the organization.

Coordinate compliance with CI identification and registration standards.

Drive data quality improvements, including CI de-duplication and compliance validation.

Perform verification and audit activities to ensure CMDB data changes are authorised and accurate.

Maintain records of CI status, versions, location and relationships in CMDB.

Maintain and regularly review process, procedure, and work instruction documentation.

Support Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives.

Monitor and report on critical metrics, providing variance analysis and initiating corrective actions.

Lead regular Divisional working groups with data owners and key customers.

Collaborate with other Service Management processes (e.g. Change Management) to ensure SCM policies are followed.

Deliver training and provide process mentorship to colleagues.

Perform additional SCM-related tasks as the need arises by the organization or process owner.

Required Experience
-
ITIL V4 Foundation qualification / ITIL experience.

Previous experience in Configuration Management .

Experience using ServiceNow.
-
Previous experience in an IT Service Management environment.

A demonstrable understanding of IT Infrastructure and technology.

Self-motivated, detail oriented, creative and highly focused.

Strong written communication, reporting and presentation skills.

Shown analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to successfully establish relationships and collaborate with a range of partners.
