Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead ServiceNow Engineer to oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions across the enterprise. This role requires deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform, hands-on development skills, and leadership capabilities to guide a team of ServiceNow developers and administrators. The ideal candidate will act as a technical lead, ensuring best practices, performance optimization, and successful delivery of ServiceNow projects aligned with business objectives.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of ServiceNow solutions including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, or other modules as needed.
  • Provide architectural guidance and best practices for ServiceNow implementation and integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers and administrators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, HR, etc.) to gather requirements and implement platform enhancements.
  • Ensure platform governance, compliance, and alignment with ITIL standards.
  • Lead upgrade and patch management processes, testing, and deployment of new features.
  • Develop custom applications, workflows, UI policies, business rules, and integrations with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Monitor platform performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and configuration.
  • 2+ years in a lead or senior role overseeing ServiceNow projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture and data model.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP, MID Servers, and 3rd-party platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least two major ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, HRSD).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow Agile).

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more areas – preferred
  • Experience with CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
  • ITIL v3/v4 certification
  • Leadership experience in enterprise-level ServiceNow implementations
