Job Description Summary

The Services Technology Aerospace Research (STAR) Industrialization Engineer drives advanced technology initiatives, such as on-wing inspection tools, coatings, and analytics, to transform technologies into impactful products for customers and the business. This position involves managing projects in the "industrialization phase" to ensure deployment within 12 months in the field. The role requires collaboration across functional, business, and company objectives to achieve stable operations and continuous improvement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace's operating system, to develop project plans, and update/maintain dash boards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to establish project plans in standard formats, monitor weekly progress, identify roadblocks, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Effectively manage multiple broad-scope programs simultaneously.
  • Assess the quality of information provided, ask pertinent questions to stakeholders, and offer creative solutions to problems outside of set parameters.
  • Manage vendor qualification processes in collaboration with sourcing and engineering teams.
  • Work closely with project managers and vendors to ensure project plans are up-to-date and deliver products on time, meeting customer expectations.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, explaining information and developing skills to build consensus within teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management involving multiple projects.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • Solid analytical and project management abilities.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
