CNC Combination Punch/Laser Operator – High Level

Regal Research & Mfg. Co. is a precision sheet metal fabrication company focused on building a world-class manufacturing operation. We are seeking a high-level CNC Combination Punch/Laser Operator who takes ownership of machine performance, product quality, and continuous improvement.

This role requires deep experience with CNC laser and punch/laser combination equipment and a strong understanding of the full sheet metal cutting process, from setup and sequencing through quality and throughput.

What You’ll Do

• Safely and efficiently operate CNC laser and combination punch/laser machines
• Own cut quality, throughput, and day-to-day equipment performance
• Perform independent machine setups, changeovers, and job startups
• Optimize punch and laser sequencing, nesting efficiency, and cycle times
• Identify and correct quality issues such as dross, edge condition, heat input, and hole quality
• Understand and manage assist gases, tooling condition, slat condition, and preventative maintenance impacts
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate proactively with programming, engineering, quality, and leadership

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, including punch/laser combination systems
• Experience with CO2 and fiber laser technology, preferably Trumpf
• Strong material knowledge including CRS, HRPO, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
• Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail

Leadership Expectations

• Act as a go-to operator for troubleshooting and process improvement
• Mentor and support less-experienced operators
• Help raise standards across equipment, quality, and output

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
