Short-Term Full-Time Nanny Needed – 2 Children in Kailua

A thoughtful, engaged family from New York who will be spending May and June in Kailua. They are hoping to take advantage of their time on Oʻahu while maintaining as much structure and normalcy as possible for their children and work schedules.

ABOUT THE FAMILY

Both parents work remotely and the family is accustomed to having childcare support in the home and understands the value of consistency.

They are warm, grounded, collaborative, and they would love to find someone who can help make this transition to island life feel smooth and enjoyable.

POSITION DETAILS

• Location: Kailua, Oʻahu
• Dates Needed: Approximately May 4 through June 29
• Children: 2 year-old boy, 4 year-old girl
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Preferred Flexibility: Additional hours after 3:00 PM if available
• Optional Bonus Hours: Occasional date nights and possible Saturday coverage with advance notice and coordination with Nanny’s availability.

RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary Childcare

• Provide attentive, reliable care for the family’s 2-year-old and their 4-year-old as needed
• Support a fun, active, age-appropriate daily rhythm
• Engage the children in play, exploration, outdoor time, and activities
• Keep the 2-year-old occupied, stimulated, and safely supervised during the day

Routine Support

• Help create structure and consistency during the family’s temporary stay
• Support a smooth work-from-home environment for both parents
• Collaborate with the parents while also working independently and confidently

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Can provide dependable care Monday through Friday
• Enjoys taking initiative with young children and helping them stay active, engaged, and stimulated
• Can be a helpful local resource for child-friendly outings, classes, parks, beaches, and activities
• Flexible enough to support a temporary but full-time arrangement
• Comfortable working with parents who are home and working remotely
• Interested in providing consistency during a transition period for the family

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Hourly Rate: $25/hr
• W-2 Employment with tax withholding
• Paid Time Off

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of professional childcare experience
• Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification
• Strong professional references
