Site Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve Contractor's Construction Logistics Plans (CLP), including site access strategies and access control procedures
  • Establish and monitor site access processes, including:
    • Entry and exit protocols
    • Permit-to-access systems
    • Vehicle scheduling and gate management
  • Oversee the implementation of approved logistics strategies on-site
  • Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders on:
    • Site access and haul routes
    • Road closures and traffic diversions
    • Laydown areas and material storage
  • Ensure efficient planning and utilization of:
    • Laydown areas
  • Review and approve Traffic Management Plans (TMP)
  • Identify and mitigate logistics-related risks such as delays, congestion, and contractor interface conflicts
  • Manage interfaces across multiple contractors and active work zones
  • Track logistics performance and report risks, issues, and non-compliance to the Resident Engineer
  • Provide input on construction sequencing to optimize logistics and site operations
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 8-12 years of total experience in construction
  • Minimum 5 years in site logistics coordination on infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, or similar)
  • Experience in consultancy/supervision roles is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Site access planning
    • Workfront coordination
    • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple contractors simultaneously
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced site environment
  • Experience in large-scale / multi-contractor projects in UAE
