Site Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

Next Engineering Consultants is looking for a qualified and experienced Site Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of site experience in the UAE and will be responsible for supervising, executing, and ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of electrical systems on-site, in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise on-site electrical works to ensure proper installation and compliance with project drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings and plans to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and the project team to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project progress.
  • Conduct inspections to verify that installations meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that electrical site activities comply with all relevant codes, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare site reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
  • Estimate and monitor material quantities and labor requirements on-site.
  • Monitor and maintain electrical equipment installed on-site.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and site teams.
  • Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Report any delays, safety concerns, or deviations from the approved plans to the project manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of site experience in the UAE.
  • Solid knowledge of local regulations, DEWA standards, and safety practices.
  • Strong site supervision skills and the ability to manage subcontractors and technicians.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and using site management tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
