Job Summary
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing site activities related to interior fit-out, decoration, and joinery works. The role ensures projects are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, timelines, and quality standards while maintaining safety and cost control.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Site Management
- Supervise day-to-day site operations for interior fit-out and joinery works.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Coordinate site activities including civil, MEP, joinery installation, and finishing works.
- Monitor subcontractors and in-house teams to ensure quality and productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report progress to the Project Manager.
2. Technical & Drawing Coordination
- Review shop drawings, IFC drawings, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with design, technical, and production teams for drawing approvals.
- Identify and resolve technical issues at site.
- Ensure proper implementation of joinery details, ceiling works, partitions, flooring, wall finishes, and custom-made furniture installation.
3. Quality Control
- Ensure all works meet company quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections before consultant/client inspections.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely rectification.
- Ensure materials used at site are approved and as per specification.
4. Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare daily and weekly work plans.
- Track project progress against schedule.
- Assist in manpower planning and material forecasting.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials and joinery items from factory to site.
5. Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe working practices.
- Monitor site safety and report any unsafe conditions.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site reports and progress reports.
- Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants/clients.
- Assist in preparation of method statements and work procedures.
- Maintain records of materials, site instructions, and variations.
7. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Address client concerns and provide technical clarifications.
- Ensure project milestones and handover deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in interior fit-out/joinery projects (UAE experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of interior finishing works and custom joinery installation.
- Available to join immediately.
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of joinery production and installation processes.
- Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Understanding of local authority regulations and approvals (if applicable).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
