Site Engineer - High-rise Construction

Job Overview:
The High-Rise Construction Site Engineer will oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site of high-rise buildings. This role involves managing the construction process, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management:

  • Oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes.
  • Monitor construction progress and address any issues that may cause delays or affect quality.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of construction.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify the quality of work and materials.
  • Address any non-compliance issues and take corrective actions as necessary.

Safety Management:

  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, including any changes, delays, or issues encountered.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Resource Management:

  • Manage site resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid any disruptions in the construction schedule.
  • Monitor and control site expenditures to stay within the project budget.

Technical Support & Analysis of Structural Design:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams on structural design to ensure work is performed according to technical specifications.
  • Resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.

Stakeholder Liaison:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact on site for clients, consultants, and local authorities.
  • Ensure client requirements and expectations are clearly understood and met.
  • Facilitate site visits and inspections by clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering, with a focus on high-rise buildings.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials used in high-rise construction.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD or MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
